SUMMARY:I-95 Widening Project Open-House Public Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to widen I-95 to eight lanes from I-95 Business/US 301 (Exit 56) in Cumberland County to I-40 (Exite 81) in Johnston County. In additon to the widening of I-95\, this project will include replacing the overpass bridges and realigning ramps and service roads. \n\n\n\nIn an effort to effectively involve the public in the project planning process and the important decisions that will be made\, NCDOT is hosting two public meetings from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday\, October 11 at the Hampton Inn in Benson adn on Thursday\, October 18 at the Falcon Children's Home Activity Building in Falcon. Maps of the proposed design will be available for viewing at both meetings. An opportunity to discuss the profject witht NCDOT and Consultant team members\, ask questions\, and provide feedback will be available. Comments are due November 2\, 2018. \n\n\n\nNCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled person who wish to partivipate in this meeting. Anyone requiring special services should contact: Diane Wilson\, Human Environment Section\, via e-mail at pdwilson1@ncdot.gov or by phone (919) 707-6073 as early as possible so that arrangements can be made.
